Video

Here are a few videos from various projects I have worked with through the years, for more head over to my youtube channel, Jay Gogan Youtube . Thanks for watching.

Here is the Shanna Waterstown Duo performing a medley of tunes.

Here I’m performing Chan Chan by Compay Segundo. I played all the instruments you are hearing (guitar, bass and percussion loops). This is a sample of what I do for my “solo” gigs. If you like what you hear and would like to hire me just go to the contact page and drop me a line.

Here I am playing the old traditional song “Bella Ciao”, once again it’s all me on the recording. I’m really excited about this new Alhambra guitar, it’s a CS-3 SE 2 and I could not be happier with the sound, thanks to “Paul Galland & Fils” music shop in Mulhouse, France for helping me with purchasing this awesome instrument.

While in confinement I been taking the time to work on new music, but the blues is never very far away. I was messing around on my 1950 gibon ES-125 and I came up with this little blues tune, of course the title “Confinement Blues” is pretty obvious.

These videos were recorded back in 2016, part of my ongoing “Choro” project. I’m playing my 1919 Gibson model A2 mandolin, as well as nylon string guitar, the percussion is custom loops, recorded at my home studio.

Here I am playing with the French singer songwriter Alex Bianchi performing the title track from his “L’homme des Tavernes” CD (it means man of the taverns). Check out his website at lhommedestavernes.com.He is a fantastic songwriter, and even if you don’t understand french (although if you did, you would know he’s a great lyricist) the music stands on it’s own. I played a variety of instruments on his CD, including mandolin, baritone guitar, Irish bouzouki and even a little banjo. You can buy the CD here.

Here we are playing “Les Diables” (the devils)

I do not apear in this clip of the song “Angelina”. I was away on tour with a different artist at the time, so Alex had to “mime” the mandolin part. It is me playing though, and it’s one of my favorite tunes of his.

Here’s some blues, with the amazing singer Shannna Waterstown with Lucio Omar Falco – bass and Christophe Gaillot – drums. Live at Norderstedt Musik in Hamburg Germany.

Back in 2010 with The Healers! Featuring the great Thomas Bucknasy on vocals, with Dean Zucchero bass and Matt Miller Drums. Live at the spirit of 66 in Verviers Belgium.
